Branding & Illustration for wedding "Fox"

The task: to create design of wedding invitations for my friends Maria and Sergey. We took inspiration from foxes (the bride loves foxes, and animals in general) and sakura’s blossoming. So the wedding identity, it’s colors and images, grew up from it. We didn’t want to be too much serious and wanted to avoid redundant pomposity. That’s why all graphic is deliberately sloppy and a little bit fairy-tale-ish. Guests supported color’s idea of wedding: grey, pink and red hues of their outfits highlighted the selected palette. It was impossible to make invitations only, so I also made table-cards for the guests. After a year I created a special "Chintz wedding" design for matching t-shirts. Задача была разработать пригласительные на свадьбу моих друзей Маши и Сергея. Вдохновляться мы стали образами лисы (у невесты к этим рыжим существам отчего-то нежные чувства) и цветением сакуры. Фирменный стиль свадьбы, его цвета и образы, «вырос» из этих образов. Но мы не хотели делать слишком серьёзный и пафосный стиль. Поэтому вся графика в стиле нарочито небрежная и немного сказочная. Гости поддержали цветовую идею свадьбы: серые, розовые и рыжие оттенки их нарядов подчеркнули выбранную палитру. Мы не смогли ограничиться только пригласительными, поэтому сделали также и карточки для рассадки гостей в банкетном зале. Через год после радостного события создан дизайн принта футболок «Ситцевая свадьба».

In Russia the first wedding anniversary is called "Chintz wedding". By tradition,
relatives and friends present to the couple suitable textiles. This print is my gift to them.
